Well, I’m back at work today. So far it’s going fairly well. I’ve got a lot to do, but I’ve been taking it on in small chunks.
We used our new sheets for the first time last night. I really like them. They’re 400 threadcount, and there really is a noticeable difference. Of course, after I got the bed all made, I realized I had forgotten to put the mattress pad back on–and I wasn’t about to undo all that work! Next week, I’ll put it on when I wash the sheets.
I watched an interesting movie this past weekend, Tsotsi. It’s a South African film about a young “gangster” who inadvertently kidnaps a baby during a carjacking. He then tries to take care of the baby himself. Anyway, it was highly recommended to me, and it was worth watching.
We also watched Little Miss Sunshine and Invincible. I’m afraid that we’re in the minority regarding Little Miss Sunshine–it wasn’t nearly as funny as we expected. The ending did have me laughing pretty hard, but the rest of the movie didn’t strike me as particularly humorous.
Invincible was better than I expected. It’s not as inspirational as Rudy, but there was a documentary on the DVD that was definitely worth watching.
