Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite authors and I read his blog regularly. Yesterday, he had a link to a radio show where Penn Jillette mocks him. It’s rather funny :
I got my haircut last night and I officially look like my mother. This is not a good thing. However, I don’t know what else to do with my hair. There was a botched layer(s) that needed to be taken care of. So now, there are no layers (and my hair really does need layers) and I have a plain bob which is exactly how my mother wears her hair. I’m not sure why we couldn’t put layers back in last night, but apparently it wasn’t possible.
It may be time to get a new stylist. She’s cutting back her hours, so I can use that as an excuse for switching. Why is switching hairstylists so traumatic. I know this one fairly well. She knows my family fairly well. This is so not good. But I do have another stylist in mind. My step-sister-in-law does my sister’s hair and she does an amazing job. Of course it is in the Cities. And I’m not sure what her hours will be after the baby arrives. The other option is the Aveda salon downtown. I’ve never had a bad cut from an Aveda salon (but they cost more).
