I received a late Christmas gift last night–it’s always good to extend the holidays–from the Patchwork Princess. I knew it was something she was making, so I was willing to wait…..
One of our wedding gifts was a KitchenAid stand mixer. There was a slight disagreement when we registered for it because it’s baby pink. DH didn’t like the idea of a pink appliance in the kitchen, but in the end, we were registered for a baby pink KitchenAid. I’ve since named it Isabella and it gets used quite a bit, which helped put an end to any comments about the color.
So last night, I received a pink cover for Isabella. It’s not just pink–it’s got my name and some embroidery done on it in hot pink thread, and best of all it has pink fringe all along the bottom! I was told that the original concept had pink sequins too, and that DH should consider himself lucky that the Patchwork Princess was unable to locate any. Hah!
It’s lovely–and I”ll post a picture of it later, after I’ve replaced the batteries in my digital camera. (That reminds me, I found an undeveloped roll of film last week that I had developed and forgot to pick up!)
I definitely need to get the camera battery tonight because my sister was induced this morning, so a baby should be arriving sometime in the near future. And what good will I be if I can’t take pictures of the newborn, proud parents/grandparents?
