We’ve spent very quiet day at home. I’m feeling very guilty. It’s a gorgeous day and I’ve been inside sitting on the couch watching movies. I could be organizing and straightening the house, but I’ve been on the couch watching movies. I have, however, been holding Justin who wakes up every time I move.
He’s sleeping in his bassinet right now so I can sneak online and then take a shower. After my shower, we’re planning to go for a walk with Justin. Dinner has been in the smoker all day (beef brisket done two different ways) and then we’re going to my mother’s in-laws’ to watch the fireworks. Normally, we watch them from either Levee Park, which is right on the river, or from Barn Bluff, which is a small but nice hike. However, Levee will be too noisy as the fireworks are almost directly overhead and hiking up a bluff with a baby (even if the bluff has stairs in the tough spots) does not seem like a good idea. The in-laws live in a retirement home that will have a great indoor view of the festivities–without the earth shattering booms, which echo off the bluffs.
Okay, I should get up off my butt, get in the shower and actually enjoy this beautiful day.
