Since I did such a stellar job of posting in November, let’s see if I can do better during a much busier month.
It’s snowing here and has been all day. Roads were terrible–and I experienced them first hand because I went to a Pampered Chef party about 45 minutes (normal drive time) away. No real drama there–just moronic drivers.
DH was upset earlier this week because he overheard me asking my mother if I could bring Justin to the cookie baking in two weeks if I needed to. He also heard me asking his sister if Justin would be okay at the Pampered Chef party. He said that he is perfectly able to watch Justin on the weekends if I need him to. I responded that he’s been so busy the past few weekends that I just assumed that he would be busy for the foreseeable future. He said that if I need him to watch Justin, then he would.
So I’m not sure who it was then that told me last night that he needed to work on the car today so if I could take Justin with me to the Pampered Chef party that would be a better solution. For the record, he’s still working on the car and I’ve been with Justin all day long. Don’t get me wrong. I really love Justin, but he’s teething again and that means he wants me. He wants to snuggle. Dad can take over as long as Justin doesn’t see me, but if I am within eye sight, I need to be holding Justin, nursing Justin, entertaining Justin–you get the picture. Just making dinner tonight–homemade tomato basil soup and popcorn–was a challenge to my sensitivity to Justin’s wails, screams, and tears. Yes, I broke his heart because even though I had him in his activity center and he was right near me and I was talking to him, I wasn’t picking him up and cuddling. Bad mama. Hungry mama really.
Justin finally fell asleep so I’m getting some computer time in. Next I’ll finish the movie I was watching, A Fish Called Wanda, while I get some much desired cross stitch time in.
