I had a busy weekend. DH had state bowling tournaments, so we got a hotel room. Justin went up with him earlier than me because I had a session with my personal trainer. I gained a pound and lost maybe a half inch. Oh well–I’m not discouraged because I’m feeling better, healthier and I know that it will come as we continue to work on it.
That being said, I was not thrilled that I had to get fitted for my bridesmaid’s dress for a September wedding. My personal trainer told me to order what fit, so I did. A size 16. Yuck. That wasn’t so bad though. I can live with it and hopefully, I’ll need to alter it when it arrives in June/July.
What really got to me were the mirrors in the hotel room. I think we need a full length one here because I only have the mirror on the medicine cabinet to work with. Seeing myself naked was quite a shock that I’m still recovering from. If there is an opposite of anorexia, a disease where you believe you are considerably thinner than you are–than I have it. In spades. I don’t want the mirror to torture myself, but I also realized that I have no clue what I look like when I leave the house–or around the house for that matter.
Justin is walking a lot. We were playing with a ball tonight–DH, Justin, and I–rolling it back and forth and Justin was laughing so hard he was falling over and he couldn’t stop shaking. He’s pretty good about rolling the ball back to us. Most of the time. But it was so much fun because he could not physically stop belly laughing.
In other Justin news, we’ve started adding whole milk this weekend. I just can’t supply him when I’m not around. They are mixing half breast milk and half whole milk at daycare starting today. I’m watching him very closely because I’m sensitive to lactose and I’ve seen signs with him that he might be too. If he is, we’ll explore soy or rice. Hopefully, it won’t come to that though. We’ll continue to nurse in the morning and evening and probably when I’m around him, like on the weekends. I’m still thinking it through.
Well, I’ve got dishes to do and then I need to read another chapter in Momentum–and maybe do something fun like pleasure reading or some knitting.
